Nashville is undergoing unprecedented growth and development. A visit to our Nashville.gov website tells us that there are 565* building permits in our district alone. 565!*

If left unchecked and without oversight:

  1. The qualities we value in our neighborhoods will be endangered: green lands and wooded parks with abundant wildlife, public lands, schools, and wooded homesites with ample acreage.

  2. The increased use and demand will wear down aging and deteriorating infrastructure systems including: our storm water drainage, sewer, and roadways.

  3. An inadequate public transportation system, a troubled public education program, and overworked public safety programs will have greater burdens to contend with.

  4. ALL of these problems will create SAFETY concerns and LOWER property values.
