Committee Involvement

23 West Partnership Council (23WPC)
My goal is to create an opportunity for everyone in District 23 who has an interest to work together. Pick a COMMITTEE below, call or message me with your choice, and join us for a better and stronger commUNITY.

Hospitality | This committee is responsible for welcoming new people to District 23; educating them about neighborhood amenities, resources, business partnerships; orienting them to government/representative connections and communications; and acquiring interests and contact information.

Friends of West Meade Hills | Susan Castle
This committee’s focus will be directed at urban conservation of our green spaces, beautiful tree canopy, and wild habitat. The organization of the committee will be modeled after Friends of Warner Parks, with a board and an advisory council to lend expertise and guidance. Contact information: | 615.400.6526.

Chamber of Commerce | This committee is responsible for fostering partnerships with local businesses / services within 23WPC. Through this partnership local businesses will be able to advertise, offer specials, sponsor events, and participate in and support Neighborhood activities.

Beautification | This committee is responsible for improving, and maintaining and the aesthetic look and feel of the neighborhoods represented by 23WPC — and the area within the 23rd Council District of the of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.  
Events | This committee is responsible for identifying, supporting, coordinating, and promoting 23WPC Neighborhood events. 

Public Safety Committee | 
This committee organizes and coordinates Neighborhood Watch Programs and provides input on Neighborhood Traffic and Road Safety. 

Community Outreach | Paul Garland & Wayne Underhill (Co-Chairs)
This committee is responsible for establishing and maintaining programs in 23 West that  identify needs and provide resources and assistance to neighbors facing hardship. Primary emphasis will be placed on supporting our local schools—Hillwood High School, HG Hill Middle School, and West Meade Elementary School—through supply drives, tutoring, mentoring etc..
